Arm Bevel

A softer meeting between forearm and body.

Inside the design

Comfort shaped into the edge.

The Arm Bevel replaces the sharp front edge of the lower bout with a broad, sloping contact surface. Your forearm meets that shaped transition instead of a narrow corner.

Unlike the Floating ArmRest, it is integrated into the body itself. Its width, contour and position are developed with the body size and your playing posture, then finished as part of the instrument.

Arm Bevel or Floating ArmRest?

The bevel changes the edge of the body. A floating armrest adds a separate support clear of the soundboard. Both address forearm comfort in different ways; the choice depends on your posture and the instrument design.

Does it change the soundboard?

Yes, its perimeter geometry is part of the build. We account for that when constructing and voicing the top rather than adding a bevel to an otherwise finished instrument.

The photographed instrument has its own specification. Decorative inlays and individual artwork are optional and quoted separately.
