The armrest is supported above the lower bout, isolated from the soundboard. Your forearm rests on the shaped support instead of pressing directly against the vibrating top.
The contact surface and its position are considered with the body shape and your playing posture.
Fixed or height-adjustable?
Ebony versions can be fixed or height-adjustable. Natural Baltic amber versions are fixed. Availability and the appropriate construction are confirmed for your instrument.
Is this a comfort bevel?
No. A comfort bevel shapes the edge of the body itself. A floating armrest is a separate support held clear of the top. We can discuss which approach suits you.
