What makes this direction different?
Our folding-neck Travel design starts with straightforward handling. A single screw at the heel secures the neck, operated by an easy-to-grip knob. Turn it by hand to secure the neck; undo it when you are ready to fold the neck over the body. No tools and no sequence of separate fasteners.
Full scale, shorter when packed
The opening photograph shows No. 468 folded. In its playing position, this MINI steel-string guitar has 14 frets to the body and a 25.5-inch scale. Folding reduces its packed length without shortening the strings' playing scale.
Other Travel formats
A fixed-neck compact body is also possible. No. 281 is a separate eight-steel-string travel ukulele with a 340 mm scale, shown as a compact hybrid rather than a full-scale guitar.

Before you choose
A few useful answers.
Do I need tools to fold or secure the neck?
No. One screw, operated by the hand knob at the heel, secures the folding neck. Tighten it by hand to secure the neck; undo it to fold. There are no separate Allen keys or multiple fasteners to work through.
Does folding mean a short scale?
No. Travel No. 468 has a 25.5-inch playing scale. Its neck folds over the body for transport; the playing scale stays the same.
Is every Travel guitar equipped with a folding neck?
No. Folding-neck construction is the featured Travel option, but a compact fixed-neck instrument or another travel format can also be specified.
Can I order a nylon travel instrument?
Yes. Travel Nylon brings folding-neck commissions and compact fixed-neck MINI classical instruments together. String material, neck dimensions and folding construction are agreed for your instrument.
Will it fit every airline cabin allowance?
No universal airline fit is promised. Check the completed instrument and protective case dimensions against the carrier's current rules.
