The workshop specifications for the instruments below identify Ancient Kauri as approximately 50,000 years old and supplied with a certificate of authenticity. Its figure is different in every set, from flowing grain to the pronounced MegaCurl of Spring.

Kauri can appear in the soundboard, back, sides and neck, according to the instrument. These are individual combinations of material and construction: the recorded sound is that of the whole guitar, not a promise that every piece of Kauri will sound the same.
