Warranty

Terms and Conditions of Guarantee

1. Lifetime Warranty Condition

TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K. ensures the highest possible quality and correct functioning for the lifetime of the instrument to which this warranty card is issued.
Important: “Lifetime” is understood as the period of the professional activity of the luthier or until the luthier’s retirement/end of TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K.’ professional operation – whichever occurs first. The warranty remains valid only if the instrument is used in accordance with these Terms and the “Responsibilities of the Buyer” outlined below.

2. Warranty Repairs and Timeframe

Defects and damage to the guitar revealed during the warranty period will be repaired free of charge within 21 days from the date of delivery of the instrument to TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K., excluding delays caused by the need to purchase parts from abroad. The above timeframe does not apply to paint repairs, where the maximum period is 45 days.
All warranty repairs must be performed at the headquarters of TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K. or by a luthier authorized by TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K.

3. Exclusions from Warranty Coverage

The warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from improper use, storage, or maintenance, nor does it cover any mechanical damage caused by the user or external factors (e.g., impact, liquids, extreme temperature/humidity).

4. Random Events and Circumstances Beyond Seller’s Control

TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K. is not responsible for any defects arising after the sale due to random events or other circumstances for which the seller is not liable (e.g., natural disasters, accidents).

5. Unauthorized Repairs or Modifications

Any unauthorized or attempted repair, as well as any unauthorized modification (e.g., drilling, altering the finish, installing non-approved electronics), will result in the immediate expiration of all rights covered by this warranty. Furthermore, TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K. reserves the right to revoke, for life, the possibility of purchasing future instruments by the person responsible for such modifications.

6. Worldwide Validity

The warranty card is valid worldwide. However, in order for any warranty work to be recognized, repairs must be conducted by TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K. or luthiers expressly authorized by TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K.

7. Delivery of the Instrument for Warranty Service

The customer is obliged to deliver the instrument in its original case, together with the signed warranty card and proof of purchase (invoice). Failure to provide these documents may result in refusal of warranty service.

8. Mandatory Annual Inspections

To maintain warranty coverage, free annual service inspections are required. These inspections must be performed at the headquarters of TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K. or by a luthier authorized by TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K. The first inspection must take place within one year from the date of purchase, and subsequently once per year thereafter.
Failure to comply with these inspections voids the warranty.

9. Costs of Delivery and Liability During Transport

The cost of delivering the instrument to and from TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K. (or an authorized luthier) is borne by the buyer. The buyer is responsible for securely packaging the instrument for transport; any damage that occurs during shipment (due to inadequate packaging or mishandling by the shipping provider) is the buyer’s responsibility.

10. Maintenance and Operating Activities

Operating and maintenance tasks (such as string replacement, tuning, intonation adjustments, or fret leveling due to normal wear) do not fall within the scope of this warranty and must be carried out by the buyer at their own expense. Failure to properly maintain the instrument may void the warranty.

11. Components Not Covered by TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K. Warranty

The guarantee provided by TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K. does not include tuning machines, pickups, electronics, strings, or cases. These components are covered by their respective manufacturers’ warranties (if applicable).

12. Transfer of Ownership

If the ownership of the instrument is transferred, all rights covered by this guarantee immediately expire.

13. Warranty Claim Procedure

To make a claim under this warranty, the buyer must:

  • Contact TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K. via e-mail, providing the serial number of the guitar and a detailed description of the fault.
  • Attach photographs documenting the issue.
  • Include a copy of the invoice (proof of purchase).

Upon receiving the above information, TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K. will confirm whether the defect may qualify for a warranty repair and provide instructions for shipping the instrument (if needed).

14. Data Protection (RODO/GDPR)

By submitting a warranty claim, the buyer agrees that their personal data (name, contact details, proof of purchase) will be processed exclusively for the purpose of verifying the authenticity of the purchase, ensuring proper warranty service, and fulfilling legal obligations. TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K. does not share personal data with any third parties except where it is necessary to perform repairs or to comply with applicable law. The buyer has the right to access and rectify their personal data or request its deletion at any time, in accordance with RODO/GDPR regulations.

15. Legal Provisions

This warranty does not exclude, limit, or suspend the buyer’s rights arising from applicable legal regulations, especially consumer protection laws. In matters not covered by these Terms and Conditions, the provisions of generally applicable law (including the Civil Code) shall apply.

Responsibilities of the Buyer

1. The instrument requires an ambient temperature of 21 ± 3 °C (70 ± 5 °F) and a relative humidity of 47.5% ± 5%. Maintaining these conditions is essential for the long-term stability of master-grade luthier instruments.

2. Keep the guitar away from stoves, radiators, chimney walls, or any direct source of heat.

3. Do not expose the instrument to direct sunlight (for example, through windows or outdoors on sunny days).

4. Always store the guitar in a clean environment, protected from excessive dust and any liquids that could spill onto it.

5. Do not place the instrument on top of wardrobes or cupboards, where air might be too dry and circulation inadequate.

6. Always store and transport the instrument in its original protective case. TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K. recommends using the Turkowiak two-way humidity control system inside the case to maintain optimal humidity levels.

7. Do not expose the guitar to abrupt shifts in temperature or humidity (for example, moving immediately from a heated room into freezing outdoor conditions).

8. Use only strings recommended by TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K. to ensure optimal performance and to avoid undue stress on the instrument.

9. Tune the instrument only to A = 440 Hz, unless otherwise agreed with TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K. for specific musical purposes.

10. Do not loosen the strings for normal transport. However, for air travel or prolonged shipping, reducing string tension slightly may be advisable.

11. Preserve the instrument’s finish only with agents recommended by TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K.

12. For regular cleaning, use only a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Do not use water or chemical cleaning agents unless approved by TURKOWIAK GUITARS Sp. z o.o. Sp.K.

13. Systematically clean all areas of the instrument that come into contact with the user, such as the fingerboard and body surface.

Failure to comply with the above responsibilities may result in damage not covered by this warranty. Proper care, storage, and adherence to recommended service inspections are crucial for maintaining the validity of this warranty.
